SAN DIEGO, CA. - #2 ranked Point Loma Nazarene (21-2, 12-2 GSAC) led the Sunbirds from beginning to end, as the Sea Lions cruised to a 71-47 win over FPU in GSAC play.
Point Loma came out strong to begin the game and established a 30-18 advantage at the half. The Sunbirds continued to try and find a way back into the contest during the second period, but the nationally ranked Sea Lions proved to be too much down the stretch.
PLNU's Colleen Planeta led all scorers with 22 points on the night.
FPU's
Jessica Torrecillas netted a team high 18 points for the Sunbirds, while teammate
Michele Rebozzi scored in double-digits with 14 points and snatched five rebounds in the contest.
With the loss, Fresno Pacific falls to 6-17, and 3-10 in the GSAC.
