FRESNO, CA -- Jessica Torrecillas scored 24 points, but No. 12 ranked Azusa Pacific had too much firepower overall in beating Fresno Pacific 81-65 Tuesday in a Golden State Athletic Conference game at the Special Events Center.
The Sunbirds shot 49 percent (27 of 55) but couldn't contain the Cougars' two-woman punch of Alex Moore-Porter (30 points) and C.J. Hill (22).
Kelly Thompson scored 10 points for Fresno Pacific and Michelle Rebozzi scored seven. Torrecillas led in rebounds with 11.
Azusa Pacific improved to 5-1 in the GSAC. Fresno Pacific is 1-5.
