ARCATA, Calif. – Fresno Pacific men’s and women’s cross country teams are staying busy running every weekend in September. Last weekend the men’s cross country team finished third at the Humboldt State Invitational.
The previous weekend the men finished ninth at the Redlands Invitational as
Cesar Rodriguez finished 28th overall and 20th in the team standings with a time of 20:24 in the 6000 meter.
At Humboldt State, Rodriguez finished 25th overall and 15th in the team standings with a 28:15 in the 8000 meter.
Josh Hodges (28:49) and
Marvin Ortiz (28:57) followed scoring 17th and 18th in the team standings, respectively.
The women cannot compete in the team standings with only three girls, but finished well at Humboldt State individually.
Megan Barnard finished 12th overall in the 6000 meter with a 26:20.
Jessica Suddaby (26:31) and Jessica Alanis (28:11) came in 13th and 17th, respectively.
Barnard was the Sunbirds' highest finisher at Redlands as well finishing 39th overall with a time of 19:18 in the 4500 meter.
This weekend the Sunbirds will travel to Turlock for the CSU Stanislaus Invitational.
