FRESNO, CA – The 2nd-ranked Sunbirds women’s tennis team ended the regular season Tuesday by defeating No. 21 Westmont 9-0.

Fresno Pacific has now won four straight GSAC titles (2006-2009).

The Sunbirds have gone undefeated in conference play in all four of their championship seasons (2006-09).

Fresno Pacific ran their GSAC winning streak to 54 – just four wins shy from surpassing the all-sports GSAC consecutive wins record.  The streak of 58 straight conference wins is held by the Azusa Pacific men’s tennis team.

Ironically, that record was broken by the Fresno Pacific men’s tennis team in 2008.

The Sunbirds are expected to be seeded No. 2 when the national seedings and draw are released by the NAIA on Tuesday, May 5th.

The NAIA championships begin May 12th in Mobile, Alabama.
