FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific (19-9, 9-0 GSAC) continue to roll by their competitors this season as they defeat The Master’s College (9-11, 1-9 GSAC) in three straight sets. The Sunbirds held Master’s to a negative hitting percentage winning 25-10, 25-18, 25-18.
The Sunbirds hit .303 with 41 kills on 89 attempts and 14 errors, where Martina Gregusova led with 11 kills. Lisa Shilling followed with nine kills of her own. Both girls hit over .500 on the match.
Emily Carroll and Erika Adachi continue to share setting duties with 14 and 18 assists, respectively. Mariah Mandelbaum and Karlie Houston led the Sunbirds in digs with 10 for Mandelbaum and 11 for Houston.
Lauren Albertson had three blocks including a solo block as a part of the Sunbirds’ four blocks on the night.
Coach Dennis Janzen commented, “It was another solid win for the girls, and it was great to get everyone in the game and help out.”
The Sunbirds will travel to Santa Barbara on Saturday, October 10 to take on GSAC opponent Westmont. The first serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
