FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific men’s cross country team is ranked 13th in the nation after Tuesday’s latest NAIA polls. The Sunbirds just got back from finishing 3rd of 28 teams in Wisconsin, and have not finished worst than 5th all season. The Sunbirds moved up from 22nd to 13th in the polls.
Previously, the best Fresno Pacific has ever been ranked was 18th, but has never made the NAIA Championships. According to Coach Eric Schawb, “There are no guarantees, but the top 15 have a good chance of making the [championship] meet.”
However, the season is not over yet; the Sunbirds travel down to Biola on October 25 and return home for the GSAC Championships at Woodward Park on November 8. NAIA Championships will held in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 22.
