Dan Crosby is the Sunbirds' top diver going into Nationals and will most likely score important points for the men.

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific’s chance at their first swimming and diving national title has become more realistic this season as the Sunbirds will send divers to Nationals for the first time in program history.  Two men, Dan Crosby and Zach Niles, and one woman, Amanda Plymette, will represent Fresno Pacific in St. Louis.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – With a little more than a month to go before Nationals, the Sunbirds got a preview of some of the other best swimmers in the NAIA.  Both men and women Sunbirds are ranked No. 1 in the nation, but were challenged as the women fell to both No. 4 California Baptist and No. 5 Concordia, while the men split defeating No. 2 Concordia but falling to defending national champions No. 4 California Baptist.  The Sunbirds took eleven events including three of the four relays, but it wasn’t enough for the outright victory.

Fresno Pacific swimming is beginning their third season in a new spot for their program: at the top.  Both men’s and women’s teams were announced as No. 1 in the season’s first poll.  The men took three of the four first-place votes while the women took two.

LONG BEACH, Calif. – Fresno Pacific continues to race with tough competitors, taking on team like UC Santa Barbara, UNLV and Cal Poly at the Finis Cup this last weekend on Dec. 11 through Dec. 14.  The Sunbirds finished the weekend with six top-eight individual finishers and three relays finishing in the top-three.

FRESNO, Calif. – Fresno Pacific swimming and diving hit the pool this weekend with a double-dual meet with UC Santa Cruz and University of Pacific.  The men and women’s outcomes were different, but both squads swam well.  The women fell short in both meets losing to NCAA Div. III UC Santa Cruz 119-180 and NCAA Div. I University of Pacific 107-177.  The men defeated Santa Cruz 197-101 and Pacific 172-116.

OAKLAND, Calif. – Fresno Pacific women’s swimming finished a strong weekend at the Bay Area Invitational against four other women’s squads taking every event on Friday and finishing the weekend with 17 victories, including all five relays.

DAVIS, Calif. – Fresno Pacific men’s swimming had a big task in their first dual meet of the season against a strong NCAA Div. I UC Davis squad.  The Sunbirds took six events on the day while the Aggies finished with ten victories.  The Sunbirds fell 125-167.
